UT Dallas is located in Richardson, just north of Dallas  and close to the
Central Expressway.  If you wish to stay close to UTD in the northern
suburbs, you might want to try the following hotel/motels.  The
 Holiday Inn and Hampton Inn are next to eachother, and 5 minutes from
UTD, the Motel 6 is about 10 minutes from UTD.  All are just off the
Central Expressway  (US 75).

(about the same in quality to Holiday Inn in my opinion)
