About Me
Dr. James W. Marquart is a faculty member in the School of Economic, Political and Policy Sciences (previously, Social Sciences) at UT-Dallas and Director of the Programs in Criminoloy and Sociology. He teaches courses in the areas of corrections, research methods, and criminal justice for the Criminology and Sociology programs. His primary areas of research interest are in the consequences of legal intervention on prison organizations. He was a faculty member at Sam Houston State University from 1986 to 2005 before moving to UT-Dallas in 2005. Since 2005 he has been the Program Head for the Criminology and Sociology Programs. programs in criminology and sociology programs
