WebAssign Enrollment Instructions
The first two WebAssign sets are due on Saturday August 30th at 8pm (this is just to make sure you
know how to use the website) and Wednesday Sept 3rd at 8pm.
You need to enroll yourself in the WebAssign class roster. If you do not already have
a WebAssign account you can create one after verifying the class key.
Note: An access code is not the same as a class key. You need a class key to enroll.
You will use your access code to pay your WebAssign fees.
To self-enroll for our class:
- Go to the WebAssign login page www.webassign.net
and click on Enter Class Key in the top right corner of the page.
- If you are in Math 2415 Section 001 (TuTh 10:00-11:15, Zweck) enter the class key
utdallas 6893 1888 .
- If you are in Math 2415 Section 004 (TuTh 4:00-5:15, Zweck) enter the class key
utdallas 6359 1614 .
- If you are in Math 2415 Section 003 (TuTh 2:30-3:45, Turi) enter the class key
utdallas 4930 5568 .
- Make sure the first and last names on your account are the ones you are known by at
UT Dallas.
Brushing Up on Single Variable Calculus
If you need to brush up on your single variable calculus, here are the sections
Stewart's "Calculus (Early Transcendentals)" Edition 7E
that we rely on in Math 2415. Starred sections are
especially important.
2.1, 2.7, 2.8, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4**, 3.10,
4.1, 4.3, 4.5, 4.7, 4.9, 5.1-5.4, 5.5**, 6.1, 6.2, 7.1
The material from Chapter 5,6,7 is used in Math 2415 Chapters 15, 16.
The material from Chapter 4,5,6 is used in Math 2415 Chapters 14, 15.
Exam One
Exam I will cover 12.1-12.6, 13.1-13.4 (but not
unit speed curves, curvature, components of acceleration, or Kepler's Laws), and 14.1-14.4.
The exam is Friday Oct 3 from 7-8:15 pm.
Exam Two
Exam II will cover 14.5-14.8, 15.1-15.4, 15.7-15.9
The exam is Friday Nov 7 from 7-8:15 pm.
Dr. Zweck's 10am class should go to SLC 1.102
