The projects are to be done in groups of two. Please send me email indicating who you are working with and which project you are doing.

You are strongly encouraged to ask me questions about MatLab and about the project assignments.

For your write up please include written answers in complete sentences to the questions posed in the project. Also include all paper and pencil calculations (which may be hand written), any Matlab code you wrote, output and plots generated by Matlab, and a brief introduction and conclusion showing that you understand the point of the project.

Some additional points to keep in mind are:

- The write up should be a self-contained, i.e., it should make sense even if you don't have the Project Assignment Sheet.
- Your audience is a fellow class mate who has studied the same material you have in class, but has not done this project.
- Don't talk about your experiences doing the project. Rather, summarize your scientific/mathematical findings/results.
- Be as precise as you can.
- Make sure your figures have legends. Also, comment on what you learn from each figure.

- Loop Currents [pdf] and currents.m. Based on Section 1.10.
- Network Flow Problems [pdf] and network.m. Based on Section 1.10.
- Adjacency Matrices [pdf] and adjacency.m. Based on Section 2.1.

You are to do one of the following five projects. (Matlab data files for each project are provided next to the project assignment sheet.)

The last two projects (Case Studies 4 and 5) are very cool applications of linear algebra, but are somewhat more challenging projects.
