Research Interests:
Open Source Software : Studying the development of software in an open-source environment. Examining the economic model and other technical issues that affect and guide the development of software.
Capacity planning for software maintenance projects and call centers. Work involves the application of principles from Queueing theory to assist in the planning for the size of software maintenance teams. Similarly planning team sizes in call-centers is the focus of this research.
Economics-driven Software engineering research (EDSER): Our focus is in the design of large and complex software systems. We hope to approach cost-modelling with an architectural perspective, with special attention to technical as well as the economic trade-offs.
Adaptive Architectures for Mobile Systems :
Studying the Indian software industry with regards to issues in Software Engineering practices performance and productivity.(check publications)
Other research interests include issues in the development of high technology startups in the software industry. Growth modelling and public policies for finance and technology transfer in the software industry are of prime interest.
