My education includes a Master of
Science in Computer Science from New Mexico State University, Doctor of
Chiropractic from Palmer College, Master of Business Administration from
California State University Northridge, and Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics
and Astronautics from M.I.T. My computer-related professional history includes
work as (1) an engineer for Lockheed Missiles and Space Company and the United
States Air Force and (2) a computer scientist for Motorola, Inc. in artificial
intelligence and Honeywell Laboratories in object-oriented applications. My
current professional interests include object-oriented analysis and design,
object-oriented programming, the JAVA programming language, and applications in
artificial intelligence. I am a Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 2
Platform.
Recent Award: Distinguished Teacher of
the Year, Computer Science Department, 2006
Current project: Development and
implementation of a fully-distributed web-based TA scheduling system (joint
project between myself and Gopal Gupta). This application has been successfully
used by the Computer Science Department and the Electrical Engineering
Department. Expected to become a commercial product of the Erik Jonsson School
of Engineering and Computer Science. Application includes an AI computational
engine, a Java-Prolog interface, user-friendly graphical user interface,
web-based data collection with real-time interactive web portal, client-server
processing, and extensive error checking
Program coordinator of the NSF-CSEMS
Scholarship Program for the Department of Computer Science. These scholarships
are awarded to undergraduate students majoring in Computer Science or Software
