Hello, I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Department of Computer Science at the University of Texas at Dallas.  I am working with Prof. Sergey Bereg on the problem of phylogenetic network construction.

Short Bio

I was born in Jilin, China. After spent the first 18 years of my life there, I decided to head for the south. So in 2000 I went to Hefei and attended the University of Science and Technology of China  (USTC). Four years later, I got my Bachelor's degree in computer science.  Then I came to the University of Texas at Dallas(UTD) to pursue my PhD study in Computer Science.

My CV is here.

Research Interests

I am interested in Algorithm Design, Computational Geometry and Computational Biology, with the following focus:

  • Phylogenetic Network Construction

  • Application of Phylogenetic Network on Evolutionary Biology

Hobbies

I love reading, especially thrillers. The recent books I was reading are J. A. Jance's Joanna Brady series and Ali Reynolds books.  I also like to read some pop science articles once in a while.

I do not do sports a lot but I enjoy watching them, such as tennis, basketball. I do like jogging and swimming, coz you do not sweat that much:)!
