Summary: The Director of Inbound Transportation will effectively manage the Company’s inbound freight program to North American production facilities. This position will ensure service levels meet expectations and that the necessary carrier capacity is in place to support business needs and control transportation expenses. Position will have daily interaction with 7 Company North America factory operations and 4 Regional Distribution Center operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Daily interaction with the production and local purchasing teams on all questions relative to transportation mode, cubing and cost. Facilitate and execute proactive resolution of supply chain issues that optimize cost and service for inbound materials and components. Optimize use of carriers between inbound materials and outbound finished goods. Manage inbound freight spend. Drive year-over-year cost-outs. Effectively communicate both internally and externally to provide progress reports, status changes, and improvement opportunities. Provide leadership representing transportation with logistics, purchasing, etc.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Logistics, or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years transportation experience associated with T/L and/or LTL carrier management, or ocean freight. Customer obsessed. Data analysis to include Microsoft Excel, SQL, PowerPoint, and Word. Basic understanding of P&L and financial measurements.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: Clear and concise communication skills necessary. Analysis and manipulation of data to draw conclusions. Strong communication, written, oral, interpersonal, and negotiating skills. Attention to detail, and continual diligence about follow-up. Ownership. Urgency. Team player and leader with a strong desire to learn, ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work under pressure/stress.
Compensation: Salary up to $150k base plus 20% bonus (which could double based on company performance as it did in 2007). Relocation package available. Must be willing to relocate to Augusta, GA.

Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Latin American Operations, invites applications for Operations Research Analysts and Specialists. The selected applicant will be member of the Strategic Operations Research Team (SORT). The candidate should have strong analytical skills, and leadership qualities. A Masters or Ph.D. degree in Operations Research or related field is desired.
The SORT team is an internal consulting group that supports the operation in Latin America, especially in Supply Chain. The team also serves as a liaison between Kimberly-Clark and top universities to conduct research projects. In the past, SORT members have worked in projects in the field of Facilities Design, Facilities Location, Production Planning, Transportation and Marketing Engineering. Kimberly-Clark is convinced that Analytics is indeed a competing tool, and the SORT team is currently receiving a lot of attention and support from top Management in the Latin American Region.
Desired skills for this job include knowledge of an optimization modeling language like OPL, Xpress or Ampl; a simulation tool like Arena or Promodel; a statistics package like R or SAS; at least some basic database knowledge (SQL) and a general-purpose programming language like Java or Visual Basic. Responsible for assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems and developing recommendations that support the management of transportation and logistics. Develop the daily shipment plan for a group of facilities. Responsible for all motor carrier transportation needs within an assigned region. Duties will include, but are not limited to consolidating orders, planning transportation routes, contacting carriers, freight settlement issues, any issues related to carriers and supervision of any Planners within the region.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree plus 4 - 5 years manufacturing related transportation and logistics experience with emphasis on analytics of same.
