Equipment issues. Diagnostic Tools: Optical probes and endpoint measurement.

• Pulsed power may disrupt the operation of standard optical endpoint probes too.
  • Optical emissions will vary with time. For endpoint:
    • Synchronization of the optical measurements to the pulse period will probably NOT be required.
    • Time resolution much worse than the pulse period will likely provide the best benefit.
  • For diagnositics, choose just the opposite:
    • Synchronize the optical measurements to the pulse period.
    • Time resolution much better than the pulse period.
