Preliminary overview of measurements:

Preliminary overview of measurements:

  • For Argon and Helium:
    • Both the dc bias voltage and sheath resistance scale as a power law of the rf current amplitude.
    • The pre-exponent of the power law fits vary with pressure. Higher pressures produce smaller sheath resistances and smaller dc bias voltages.
    • The exponents are nearly independent of pressure.
  • For Nitrogen:
    • The power law fits as a function of the rf current amplitude do NOT apply for sheath resistance.
    • The power law fits for dc bias voltage DO continue to describe the data.
