UNDER RECONSTRUCTION (slowly...)   Updated: 10/97

Summary and conclusions:

Summary and conclusions:

  • The sheath resistance depends critically on the electron density in argon, helium and nitrogen.
  • The sheath resistance as a function of the electron density:
    • decreases as the 2/3 power of the electron density
    • is relatively independent of the gas.
    • is relatively independent of the pressure.
