I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at Dallas in the Callier Center for Communication Disorders. I received my B.A. from Grinnell College and my M.A. and Ph.D. from Temple University. My research focuses on child language from a longitudinal and processing perspective, specifically bilingual language development in typically developing children and in children with language impairment(s). In particular, I am interested in modeling the bilingual language growth of English Language Learners (ELLs) in the schools, and in validating paradigms to index processing load and language learning skills in bilingual speakers. As an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist, I have provided bilingual (Spanish-English) speech-language pathology services in multiple settings, including schools and early intervention.
