Lab7 (1st week) Report Instructions
- The lab report should be segmented in 3 parts:
- BJT Inverter
- BJT Inverter with Emitter Resistor
- BJT Voltage Follower
- Inverter:
- Plot VI curve for BJT with load line, show load line equation used.
- Sketch (by hand, PSpice or any drawing program) the inverter circuit.
- Plot Vout vs. Vin curve
(Transfer Characteristics curve) for Inverter, show constant region range (Vinmin-Voutmax,Voutmin-Voutmax)
and gain computed from slope.
- Show Vinmidlle & Voutmidlle
in constant region.
- Show AC gain obtained from Oscilloscope readings, and VoutDC
value, IoutDC equation and
value.
- Show Vin value to achieve Vout
clipping, explain why clipping occurred at this value.
- Inverter with Emitter Resistor:
- Plot VI curve for BJT with load line, show load line equation used.
- Sketch (by hand, PSpice or any drawing program) the inverter with emitter
resistor circuit.
- Plot Vout vs. Vin curve
(Transfer Characteristics curve) for Inverter, show constant region range (Vinmin-Voutmax,Voutmin-Voutmax)
and gain computed from slope, explain the difference from the inverter result
above.
- Show Vinmidlle & Voutmidlle
in constant region.
- Show AC gain obtained from Oscilloscope readings, and VoutDC
value, IoutDC equation and value.
- Show Vin value to achieve Vout
clipping, explain why clipping occurred at this value.
- Voltage Follower:
- Plot VI curve for BJT with load line, show load line equation used.
- Sketch (by hand, PSpice or any drawing program) the voltage follower
circuit.
- Plot Vout vs. Vin curve
(Transfer Characteristics curve) for Inverter, show constant region range (Vinmin-Voutmax,Voutmin-Voutmax)
and gain computed from slope, explain the difference from the two circuits
results above.
- Show Vinmidlle & Voutmidlle
in constant region.
- Show AC gain obtained from Oscilloscope readings, and VoutDC
value, IoutDC equation and value.
