Short Biography
I
was born in
Alexandria, Egypt in 1977. I attended Victoria College,
Alexandria, Egypt during the years 1980-1994.
I then joined the
Faculty of Engineering,
Alexandria University, Egypt where I received
B.Sc.
(with honors) and M.Sc. both in electrical engineering
(telecommunications major) in 1999 and 2003, respectively. I
did my military service during the years 2000-2001. I was a
Ph.D. student at University of South Florida during 2004. I
joined UT Dallas in 2005 and I earned my Ph.D. degree in
2008. I was affiliated with
the
Multimedia
Communications Laboratory (MCL). My academic advisor is
Prof. Aria Nosratinia.
I am currently working as a Research Scientist at UTD. During the summer of 2008 I was with Qualcomm Inc, San
Diego, CA as a Systems Intern Engineer where I worked on
developing baseband algorithms for the next generation of
wireless networks (WiMAX and LTE).
