Regarding the importance of science education these days, UTD President Dr. David E. Daniel addressed ‘Science and Math from a Global Perspective’* in the Center for Science Education Research's 2005-06 Seminar Series for Life-Long Learners. In his presentation, Daniel, a civil engineer and member of the prestigious National Academy of Engineering, explored the causes of and solutions to the global challenge to America’s longstanding pre-eminence in the fields of science and mathematics. * Requires free RealPlayer plugin.
