Science Education Program Contact Information
Of course, our electronic meeting place is made possible by the UT-System TeleCampus. But, just in case you're ever 'in the neighborhood', we invite you to stop in for a visit - or to celebrate your commencement! The main UTD campus is located in Richardson, TX, 16 miles north of downtown Dallas. When visiting the area you can take advantage of the social and cultural events that the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area has to offer while enjoying the benefits of our spacious campus and suburban conveniences. To make planning your visit to the university a little easier - and to give you an idea of what it's like onsite - please stop by the UTD Visitors page. There are some great online resources there, including the usual Map, Directions, and Parking details, plus a fun Video Tour!
Although you'll need to follow whatever contact methods your course instructor and advisors prescribe, for your convenience, here are the Science Education Program addresses: Mailing Address
Physical Address
Please check the SciMathEd website for current phone and fax numbers. The majority of instructor-student, student-student, and student-instructor communications will take place within the course itself, which runs on the Blackboard platform. For example, we’ll use the Discussion Board, Assignments, and Course Announcements extensively. Instructors will check the course communication resources regularly, at least 2-3 times a week. Due to the asynchronous nature of the course, the preferred method for personal/individual communications is email. Instructors typically respond to messages within the day; however, it may take up to 48 hours for a complete response. Note that, for security reasons, UTD personnel will send all official email correspondence only to your UTD email address. UTD will provide a Network ID (netid) linked to an email account. Physical office hours are limited and by appointment only; however, you may contact the instructor(s) via phone at the number listed above in case of emergency. Voice mail messages are usually retrieved on a daily basis, but responses may take up to a week depending on travel schedules.
