Recent Work

09/01/09   This year I am happy to be a CHAMPS fellow teaching fundamentals of Computer Science to middle school students. http://www.utdallas.edu/news/2008/04/11-001.php

05/31/09   Gone for the summer. I'm a SEPP intern at Rockwell Collins for the summer.

01/23/09   Texas Networking Testbed (TNT) has outgrown its original name! It is now Advanced wireleSS Environment Research Testbed (ASSERT). Under the new name we are continuing development of system hardware and software.

01/12/09   As part of my dissertation I am currently investigating route failover mechanisms in a multiple sink environment for wireless sensor networks.

01/12/09   A significant portion of the time during my graduate study has involved research and development of the Texas Networking Testbed (TNT). TNT is a complex hardware and software platform for developing and testing wireless networking protocols. As part of my Computer Engineering study I have had significant contributions to the integration of the custom hardware and software components that make up the system.

12/21/08   Our joint lab paper "RF in the Jungle: Effect of Environment Assumptions on Wireless Experiment Repeatability" has been accepted to ICC 2009. This paper identifies several common implicit and explicit assumptions that researchers make regarding the wireless environment and evaluates their correctness. Ultimately the paper recognizes the need for repeatable experiment platforms such as the Texas Networking Testbed.
