He has studied applications of
data mining & artificial intelligence technologies
and decision science methods to the modeling & analysis of information systems.
He currently works on (1) data separation as information classification
and machine learning,
(2) computer security,
(3) social network analysis.
Specific research interests include
isotonic separation applications to medical diagnosis, bankruptcy prediction, information filtering on Web, etc.,
intrusion detection/prevention systems, security management, and
recommendation systems & personalization.
He has been teaching various MIS courses such as
Database Management Systems,
Information Systems Management,
Systems Analysis & Design,
Expert Systems in Business,
End-User System Development with Commercial Software,
and Ph.D. seminar subjects.
He also has teaching interests in Decision Support Systems, Data Mining, and Telecommunication.
