Optics and Ultrafast Spectroscopy Laboratory
Our group engages in studies of transient optical properties of a variety of nanostructured materials (nanocrystal quantum dots, nanowires, semiconductor quantum wells) and explores excitonic interactions in electromagnetically coupled hybrid materials. Such concepts find applications in emerging photovoltaic concepts, light-emitting devices, fluorescent tagging and fundamental studies of single/multiexciton properties of individual quantum emitters.
The Optics and Ultrafast Spectroscopy lab at UTDallas is well equipped to support a variety of optical and electrical characterization measurements. We work in collaboration with scientists in the Material Science department as well as at Los Alamos National Labs. The lab currently contains several fully operational spectroscopy experimenal setup including μPL, transient absorption, TCSPC spectroscopy, etc (click here for more details)
