Graduate PositionsOptics and ultrafast spectroscopy lab has two (2) PhD positions open for qualified student candidates to work on exciting projects that involve nanocrystal quantum dots and femtosecond lasers. One position will be in the field of energy transfer in hybrid nanocrystal/semiconductor /organic structures. The other will be concerned with studies of multiexciton emission and photoluminescence statistics in individual nanocrystals. The positions are expected to be externally funded in the near future.
UTD candidates should be in a good academic standing and preferably pass the physics qualifying exam.
External candidates should apply for UTD Physics graduate school. (Admissions questions may be directed to Barbara Burbey, firstname.lastname@example.org) Candidates should be able and willing to perform extensive hands-on work in the optics/laser lab and actively participate in materials sample preparation.
