Shyam Karrah has been a Senior Lecturer and a Graduate Advisor in the Computer Science Department at UTD since fall 2000. Prior to joining UTD, Mr. Karrah taught for 6 years in the CS department at New Mexico Junior College and was a dept chair at NMJC from 1998 to 2000. Mr. Karrah received the Excellence in Advisement Award for the 2004-2005 school year. He was also a finalist for the President’s Outstanding Teacher Award for the 2008-2009 school year. He is currently a lead graduate advisor in the computer science department assisting prospective students with questions on graduate admissions.
