Dates in Before Assembly (B.A), and After Assembly (A.A.). M denotes million, K thousand.

Date Event
Start of Existence to ±10M BA

First Era of Little Significance

±100M BA The Ceticates become space faring and start their exploration of the universe, though they do this by attaching themselves to asteroids and comets so there progress is painstaking (for a member of most other species) slow. They originate in the Zoldwinda galaxy on a planet they call Cetta.
±3M B.A to ±1M BA

Era of the Ancients

±3M BA The Ancients (the Zenzkethi) become space faring in the Tesserete galaxy on a world they call Iterra (undiscovered to races in our neck of the woods to the present day).
±3M BA to ±2.5M BA The Zenzkethi become incredibly technologically advanced, they overcome normal warp limitations (even warp gate limitations) and develop singularity jump engines that allow their ships to jump from almost any point in space to any other without delay. They also spread throughout the universe, setting up colonies and outposts in every galaxy and star cluster (however at no point in time is more then a 50% of their population off of their home world).
±2.5M BA to ±1M BA The Zenzkethi begin their campaign to exterminate all other sentient spacefaring races throughout the universe, and for the most part they are successful. As new races develop their extensive network of outposts and colonies throughout the universe become aware of their presence and a fleet of Dreadnoughts is sent in. The Dreadnoughts jump in, annihilate every member of the species and every object they have ever created, jumps out, and waits for the next species to be discovered. They become the unchallenged masters of the universe.
±1M BA A Ceticate entity, Molsfashh, exploring a star system is "mistaken" for an asteroid (technically it is an asteroid, it just also happens to be intelligent too), and a Zenzkethi mining colony begins operation on it. Molsfashh interacts with the machines and computers on the mining ships and after a period of time learns everything about Zenzkethi technology and their history. Molsfashh determines the Zenzkethi are a threat and that they have been responsible for removing a great many interesting things from the universe. Considering this unacceptable Molsafashh sets out to inform the other Ceticates so that they can correct the situation. Molsafshh takes control of the mining colony and the ships, kills the crews, and returns to Cetta.
±1M BA The Ceticates make there presence aware to the Zenzkethi, who promptly materialize an armada in orbit around Cetta, but are promptly confused and then overtaken by the Ceticates. Using the ships (they serve as replacements for the asteroids and rocks they normally inhabit) the Ceticates begin their offensive; armed with an armada of the most destructive warships ever created and with the knowledge of every Zenzkethi system, colony, outpost, frigate, warship, and structure they set out to destroy the Zenzkethi.
±0.9M BA They succeed. After defeating the Zenzkethi military forces in a matter of days they begin cleansing the universe of all Zenzkethi and anything they created. However, they do not finish this before they are overtaken with bordem, and decide to stop short of destroying every thing. They place the remaining Zenzkethi, of which there is only a handful, along with all of their warships in a giant underground complex they built on an Eden class planet later named Trollstand which they guard to make sure the Zenzkethi are never a threat again.. Most Ceticates then go into voluntary solitude in obscure parts of the universe to wait for something interesting to occur again. It is important to note that Zenzkethi artifact still abound in the universe, as noted above the Ceticates stopped short of destroying all of them.
±0.9M B.A to ±8K BA

Second Era of Little Significance

±0.6M BA Three races (the Ool, Smeshsper, and Pa'rathens) develop space faring technology and form a political federation in the Sunshome galaxy.
±0.5M BA The races develop technology to build or enrich worlds with atmospheres and life conductive to all three species, and then create these worlds throughout their galaxy.
±0.4.8M BA Upon creation of enough worlds to sustain several times their population they stop, and slowly over time loose the need for most of their technology (as everything they want is provided for by the planets they have created; they return to nature in a way). The largest structures that are not demolished are space craft creation facilities called nests, but these, along with everything else, comes into disuse. It is not long before space travel in the galaxy is nonexistent.
±8K B.A to 6K BA

Era of Ressarren Conquest

6,500 BA In the Milky Way galaxy two races become space faring: the Ressarrens and the Vilvaa. Both races begin exploring and colonizing the space around their home worlds. The Ressarrens became spacefaring before the Vilvaa, but the difference in time is a matter of months. Technology at this point (first generation warp engines) is primitive but would allow them to transverse the galaxy in years rather then millinea.
6,300 BA The Vilvaa and Ressarrens come into contact with each other, but the first encounter turns violent. When news reaches their respective governments of both sides they make a commitment not to back down, and as no viable means of communication exist (they have not learned the other's language), war starts. This war is a political plow on both sides to establish a more centralized authority, but more so on the Ressarren part, as Vilvaa already have a centralized government structure.
6,300 BA to 6,100 BA The war is a drain on both races, but the Ressarrens are able to continue colonizing the stars thanks to their superior control of space. This is due to the superiority of Ressarren offensive weapons and tactics. The Vilvaa on the other hand are not able to continue to expand beyond a certain frontier, but there superior defensive technology and tactics allow them to ward off numerous Ressarren invasions with little loss of life. Eventually talks are started between the two sides, but no agreements are reached.
6,100 BA to 5,991 BA With both sides making little gains the war stops in a stalemate, but it does not end. In this time period attacks still occured but they are much less frequent then the previous two hundred years. Ressarrens come to have control over an area of space about 4 times the size in Vilvaa control by the end of this period, there economic output also grows to about 2 times that of the Vilvaa.
6,072 BA The Haj'erald become spacefaring, they are in a region of space near that of encircled Vilvaa space (with about 30% of the Ressarren fleet between them and the Vilvaa though), and one of the most lightly colonized, though still moving, Ressarren frontiers.
5,991 BA The Ressarrens encounter the Haj'erald for the first time, and unlike their encounter with the Vilvaa they violence does not break out this time.
5,989 BA Haj'erald diplomats develop a trading treaty with the Ressarrens and make peace with them, they also discover the Vilvaa and make contact with them, something which the Ressarrens are unaware of.
5,987 BA The Vilvaa and Haj'erald come agree to an Alliance, in exchange for Vilvaa technology the Haj'erald will build a fleet at attack the Ressarrens within 50 years.
5,986 BA to 5,942 BA During this time the Haj'erald and Vilvaa rarely meet, but they and the Ressarrens meet often to trade and a mutual friendship between the people of both races develop.
5,941 BA With a huge fleet of warships built on more advanced Vilvaa technology the Haj'erald attack and destroy, along with a sizable fleet of Vilvaa ships the Ressarren fleet guarding the space between the two races. The Ressarrens loose, and loose badly, almost a quarter of their entire fleet is lost during the attack. This is commonly known as the battle of the Crescent moon (the Ressarren base and fleet that was attacked was on a planet, and to the people at the base the space battle took place at night in view of 3 crescent moon), though most Ressarrens call it the battle of Betrayers.
5,941 BA to 5,921 BA The Alliance makes huge gains, taking control of almost two fifths of Ressarren territory before they are stopped at the battle of Mos Nera.
5,921 BA The battle of Mos Nera occurs only a few light years from the home Ressarren system (to Ressarrens it is known as the battle of the Line), and the invading fleet of Vilvaa and Haj'erald ships is defeated.
5,921 BA to 5,880 BA The Ressarren's ferociously attack the Alliance, and eventually push them out of their space and into theirs. After several attempts the Ressarrens break through into Vilvaa and Haj'erald space (who are now separated again). Admirals Rar and Hhraah lead the invasion into Vilvaa space, and admiral Sharss leads the Haj'erald invasion. Eventually all territory of the Alliance is occupied, including their home worlds, their fleets destroyed, and their populations decimated (during the war phase after the Haj'erald attacked all three races lost about 10% of their population).
5,876 BA The Haj'erald and Vilvaa please for mercy are finally heard, and the liberty of Ressarrens to raid, destroy, and rape in occupied territory ends.
5,875 BA to 5,870 BA The Ressarren clan leaders meet to discuss the future, they decide formalize the centralization of power that had occurred during the long war with the creation of a formal monarch and clan parliament. What had formally been the Ressarren confederation, now becomes the Ressarren Empire. Several clans and most of the military are disgruntled (for different reasons) and rioting begins in many colonies. To pacify these factions, four relatively autonomous states are created: Mxua (about 20 systems on the core-ward fringe of the frontier for several of the disgruntled factions to migrate too), Ressra (a medium sized collection of systems almost entirely enclosed by the empire which had been mostly settled by the Ressarala religious group, and was meant to appease there other members and clans that adhered to their principles), Rar-Hhraah, and Sharss (both are medium-large size collections of systems around the conquered races, and in these states any officer who served in the campaign may migrate, and set up a farm or other manual labor intensive business at the expense of the Empire and bring his family). After the rioting stops and all factions appear placated, the clan leaders decide to include much of the areas of the conquered races into two territories that will be very strictly administered. As a final act of business the leaders elect one of their own to be the first Emperor: Rasgaoud. Rasgaoud accepts and makes clear his plan to never let something like the long war happen again, he sets out to shrink the military but also to explore known space for other sentient races and make sure they are not a threat (i.e. annex them).
