Dr. Sook Kim is the Assistant Dean for Assessment of the Erik Jonsson School.  She received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the Baldwin-Wallace College and received her Ph.D. degree in Developmental Psychology with interdisciplinary specialization in Language Development from the University of Texas at Dallas. 

She has worked in diverse areas of psychology including sanity/insanity evaluation and Program Evaluation.  Dr. Kim’s research topics include intelligence, adult reasoning, cross-cultural studies, and social perception.  Her expertise also includes research methodology, measurement, as well as interpersonal/intercultural communications. 

Dr. Kim joined the Erik Jonsson School in 1999 and established an academic advising program that incorporates faculty advising and the university-wide professional advising system.  In 2000, she built a comprehensive self-assessment operation which provides professional support for the outcomes assessment.  Dr. Kim is also responsible for the Jonsson School’s data management and liaison for American Society for Engineering Education, Survey of Engineering Colleges since 2004. 

She is a member of the American Psychological Association, American Association for Public Opinion Research, and the American Evaluation Association.
