I have been a hockey fan since 1960 when we first won a gold medal for hockey. I have seen many great moments, but this is the greatest moment in hockey history. Yet this is the first time I have seen a team that was heavily an underdog against the other opponents. Nobody gave them a chance to beat the Russians. Yet their determination prevails against all odds.
I can understand how it feels to be an underdog. Nobody comes to watch you play, because they know that you are going lose. They would question your dreams and goals. Being an underdog is being alone. No one looks up to you or supports you like a champ. You must prove everybody that you are worthy to be a winner.
Some people would crumble under this circumstance, but this hockey team is special. They sacrificed so much to tell the world that they have the heart of a champion. Their victory was not a miracle. A supernatural power did not aid them during their games. What aid their the will to win
