How does it feel to prove everybody wrong?

Will: We knew that we were the best yet people around us did believe in us. It’s great to prove them wrong, but....

But...?

Will: Before the Winter Olympic started, people thought we were just a bunch of college scrubs who didn’t have a chance against these professional.

So did you believe that you were an underdog?

Will: I feel like our team can beat any team in the world. No! I don’t feel like an underdog. I don’t understand why people are calling our victory against the Russian a miracle. We might not have the same credentials or experience as the other teams, but we worked our butts off. They might be more talented than I, but we train day and night to compensate for that. Determination will always overcome talent any given day

Was it hard to feel that no one believed in the team’s abilities?

Will: Some days I could just ignore it, but other days are tougher. I work and train all day long, and when I come home and look at my friends and family eye, I could see their disbelief in our abilities. It just tears me inside.

Any last words?

Will: I want to show the world a painting that I would work on when I was restless at night. Hopefully they can feel how I felt during those tough times
