Please don’t tarnish what these young men did in Lake Placid by saying that Russia and Finland were not playing their best game that day. This is sports, and you can’t blame our hockey for beating them when these teams were not playing their “A” game.
Even though the Russians were undefeated in their group they fell behind in two before escaping with a late score to steal a win in each game. The Russians were stumbling, but still the United States still needs to score three points against the best team in the world. They deserve all the credit.

Give them a chance guys !
Why do we never give underdogs their due when they are able to pull the upset? We always give the favor team an excuse when they lose. The underdogs will always be underdogs until we sport fans give them some recognition and credit.
Remember fans out there to cherish this historical, and praise our men for winning the gold.
