The RE-Tools Download and Installation Guide

Download and install StarUML (click this link to download StarUML).
Download and run the RE-Tools setup file (click this link to download the RE-Tools). The setup file may be re-run to repair damaged installed files, or to remove the tool.
Once the installation is complete, "RE-Tools" folder should be installed under the "modules" folder of StarUML (e.g. C:\Program Files\StarUML\modules) as shown in Figure 1.

Rename "Contributors.xml" in the "modules" folder to something else, such as "Contributors-org.xml" as shown in Figure 2. This file contains the names of StarUML contributors, where a name is automatically selected as the default name for each newly created model element. However, this could create some naming conflicts when using the RE-Tools. Therefore, this file should be renamed so that StarUML would automatically generate unique names using a prefix given by the RE-Tools instead. To give credit to the StarUML contributors, we gratefully include the original "Contributors.xml" file here.
