       Follow this link for software to book 1.  The file  book1.tar.gz contains
       the compressed version of all the functions while the other files are the
       individual S-Plus functions.  To download a file in netscape press the
       right mouse button over the link to the file and choose save link as and
       tell it to save it to your .Data S-Plus directory.  To  decompress the 
       compressed version download it to your local drive into  your .Data 
       subdirectory.  Then type gunzip  book1.tar.gz,  This should  extract a 
       file called book1.tar Then type tar -xf book1.tar.  This will 
       extract all the individual S-Plus functions.
