"Cool It - The Skeptical Environmentalist's Guide to Global Warming" by Bjorn Lomborg
If you read one book on global warming, this should be it. Lomborg examines the impact that global warming will have in almost every area. He then shows that attempts to reduce carbon dioxide (such as in Kyoto Protocol and Kyoto II) would be very expensive and have little effect. He then goes on to give specific things we can do to ameliorate the negative impact of global warming in ways that are vastly more effective and much less expensive than by reducing carbon dioxide. For instance, Lomborg gives cost-effective ways of dealing with world hunger, droughts, flooding, malaria, etc.
