Auditory Training Goal Critique

Goal: Betty will demonstrate ability to recall 5 details of an unfamiliar, concrete orally presented story with 90% accuracy with no competing noise in environment.

Objective #1: Betty will demonstrate ability to recall 2 details orally with 90% accuracy after a concrete familiar experience.

    Stimuli: Make pudding then review steps in sequence and recall five details.

    Stimuli: Birthday Party, list experiences, then recall details.

Objective #2: Betty will demonstrate ability to recall 3 details of an unfamiliar concrete orally presented story with 90% accuracy with no competing noise in environment.

    Stimuli: Paint a t-shirt and recall details.

    Stimulia: Plant seeds and list experiences and recall detials.

Goal: Father will be able to perform a daily hearing aid check and troubleshoot problems without assistance with 90% accuracy with the equipment available: hearing aid, new battery, soap and water, stethoscope, q-tips, and typewriter brush.

Objective #1: Father will identify main components of a hearing aid.

    Stimuli: Father will be asked to explain the function of the external parts of a hearing aid: mold, eureka, etc.

    Stimuli: Father will be asked to example the function of the internal parts of a hearing aid: microphone, amplifier, etc.

Objective #2: Father will demonstrate ability to detect and correct minor problems with a hearing aid and determine when the hearing aid requires work that cannot be done at home.

    Stimuli: Father will demonstrate ability to detect problems with the ear mold, tubing, clogged microphone and battery.

    Stimuli: Father will demonstrate ability to correct problems with the ear mold, tubing, clogged microphone and battery.
