Advanced Bionics Corp.- Clarion
•
implanted components are under warranty for 10 years
• speech processor, single-unit headpiece (excluding cables) and
battery charger have a 3 year warranty; extended warranty can be purchased
through company
Cochlear Corp. - Nucleus 24
•
implanted components are under warranty for 10 years
• external components (speech processor and headset and battery
charger) (excluding batteries and cables) are warranted for 3 years; extended
warranty can be purchased through company
MED-EL - Combi 40+
•
implanted components are under warranty for 10 years
• speech processor, single-unit headset and battery charger have a
3 year warranty; extended warranty can be purchased from the company
B. Accidental Damage Beyond
Repair/Loss Coverage
Advanced Bionics Corp.- Clarion
• Accidental damage or loss insurance is available from ESCO. This insurance covers the speech processor
and the headpiece for 1 year for $135 (subject to change)

Cochlear Corp. - Nucleus 24
• Cochlear Corp. will replace the speech processor one time within
the original three year warranty period if the processor is lost. After that, accidental damage or loss
insurance for the Nucleus 24 (Sprint and Esprit processors covered separately)
is available from ESCO. This insurance
covers the speech processor and the headpiece for 1 year for $135 (subject to
change)
