YET EVEN ONE MORE CALIBRATION PROBLEM

Part 1: You are testing a 7-month old baby in the soundfield with speech. She is seated on her mother's lap at 45 degrees azimuth to the loudspeaker. You get a response at 50 dB HL when speech was delivered from the right speaker, and you know that it is coming from the better ear, but you dont know yet which is the better ear.

What is the threshold in dB SPL if the better ear is the Right ear?

What is the threshold in dB SPL if the better ear is the Left ear?

What is the threshold in dB HL if the better ear is the left ear AND the signal has been delivered from the left speaker (i.e. when she responds at 56.1 dB SPL)?

Part 2: Now you seat her at 0 degrees azimuth and get a response at 40 dB HL when the speeck is coming from the right speaker, when there is a +10 dB correction factor.

What is the threshold in dB HL if the right ear is the better ear?

What is the threshold in dB HL if the left ear is the better ear?

What is the threshold in dB SPL if the right ear is the better ear?

What is the threshold in dB SPL if the left ear is the better ear?
