Lucien T. "Tres" Thompson
Neuroscience Program Head since 2000 in the School of Behavioral & Brain Sciences (BBS) at the University of Texas at Dallas. Associate Professor of Cognition & Neuroscience. Previously research assistant professor in Cell, Molecular & Structural Biology at Northwestern University Medical School, Chicago.
There are currently seven active Neuroscience laboratories in BBS, plus another in Biology, and a search is on to hire another outstanding neuroscientist for May 2012. These PIs actively investigate questions related to neural plasticity, learning & memory, neural interfaces, addiction, schizophrenia, and sensory processing.
