This web resource started with suggestions from
students of Professor
William Katz’s graduate course in Speech Science (Spring, 2007).
The
webpages were developed as an independent study
project by graduate student Julie
Upshaw, supervised by Dr. Katz.
Julie now works locally as a speech language pathologist and has a
particular
interest in autism. This project
could not have been possible without the webpage authoring assistance
of Rachel
Bock, a graduate student of Deaf Education from Washington
University,
also
involved in research at the UTD Callier Center. Caleb Morrell also
helped greatly with web design. Diane Garst gets special thanks
for
clinical insights and help with editing. We
also thank the UTD Callier clinicians and
faculty associates for their careful help in evaluating local programs
and
approaches.
