Our research is in the design and implementation of communication transceivers. Our unique approach is to jointly explore the design space spanned by the analog front-end circuits and the signal processing capabilities of the digital circuitries to achieve significant improvements in the overall transceiver performance and complexity. As such an approach requires a multi-disciplinary effort, our research consists of both analog/RF circuit design and signal processing algorithm development.
Areas of current research are:
Millimeter wave CMOS radios
Cognitive radios
Ultra-wideband radio circuits and systems
Highly digital transceiver using dirty RF
