Introduction

During the last several years, we have developed a unique method to map detailed geologic exposures in three-dimensions. This method essentially captures entire outcrops digitally and photographically in 3D, in global (GPS) coordinates.

 Key advantages are:

Photorealistic models accomplished by UTD:

  • Austin Chalk at Dallas Bulk Mail Station, Texas
  • Jackfork turbidites at Big Rock Quarry, Arkansas (with Veritas)
  • Capistrano turbidites at San Clemente Beach, California (with BEG)
  • Syn-sedimentary growth (listric) faults at Mineral Wells, Texas
  • Cretaceous Panther Tongue sandstone, Utah
  • Ainsa turbidites, Spain (with Norsk Hydro ASA)
