ABOUT ME

I am a Ph.D. candidate under the supervision of Prof. Cong Liu, in the Department of Computer Science at The University of Texas at Dallas. Before joining UTDallas, I received my M.S. degree from University of Science and Technology of China in 2011 and B.S. degree from Wuhan University in 2008.

My PhD work has been focusing on developing efficient real-time scheduling algorithms and timing validation techniques to enhance the computing capability of safety-critical embedded systems (often called cyber-physical systems CPS) powered by homogeneous or heterogeneous multicore platforms. My research covers Real-time scheduling theory, with special focus on utilization-based schedulability analysis for different Real-time task models, such as suspending task model (RTSS 2016), Gang task model (RTSS 2017, RTS), DAG task model (RTSS 2018), Pipeline task model (ECRTS 2017) and Stochastic task model (TPDS), as well as some practical issues (RTAS 2018, RTCSA 2017) in CPS can be solved properly using real-time scheduling theory. Interestingly, during the past few years, I have developed several scheduling techniques to analyze CPS in different scenarios, such as Data-analytics driven Cyber-Physical Systems (RTSS 2017), IoT (IoTDI 2017), wireless sensor network (RTSS 2016, SECON 2016, SECON 2014) and mobile eadge computing (SEC 2017), providing predictable latency performance to end users. Besides my main research interests in CPS, my research work also covers network coding theory (TON, ISIT 2013).

In the fall semester of 2018, I fortunately have the opportunity to teach an undergraduate course, CS/CE/TE 2305.005 Discrete Mathematics, as a solo instructor at UTDallas.
