Curriculum
The University of Texas at Dallas Political Science Masters Program offers advanced instruction in the social science literature and theories about politics, citizenship, governance and data analysis.
Career Options
Political Science degrees prepare students for public service and government and non-profit organizations and agencies, as well as positions in academe, business or legislative politics. Throughout students learn empirical approaches to understanding data, approaches that are in high demand among employers.
Application Requirements
Degree requirements: A baccalaureate degree from an institution of higher education.
GPA: 3.0 out of a 4.0 scale.
Test score required: Yes
A combined verbal and quantitative score of at least 300 on the GRE.
Letters of recommendation: 3
Applicants must submit three letters of recommendation from individuals who can judge the candidate’s probability of success in graduate school. Use the electronic request form in the graduate application to submit the letters. Contact the graduate academic program department if you have any questions.
Admissions essay required: Yes
A one-page essay outlining the applicant's background, education, and professional objectives.
