Confucius Institute Congratulates the 20th anniversary of Dallas Modern Chinese Language School

May 18th, Sunday, 2014, Professor Zhang Qianyuan, associate director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Texas at Dallas, participated in the 20th anniversary celebration of Dallas Modern Chinese Language School and presented a congratulation speech. Professor Zhang produced a Chinese calligraphy work as a present for the school. Dallas Modern Chinese Language School is the only non-profit Chinese language school run by PTA volunteers in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The school was awarded “Model School of Overseas Chinese Education” by Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council of P. R. China in 2003. Dallas Modern Chinese Language School and Confucius Institute at the University of Texas at Dallas have shared a long partnership in Chinese proficiency tests – HSK, YCT and BCT, Chinese competitions, teachers training programs and various cultural events and celebrations.
