Masterpieces of World Literature

Description of Course:

This course explores a selection of contemporary short stories and films from various countries around the world and challenges students to think critically about issues of race, class, gender, and identity. Through the analysis of contemporary works, students will also discuss how short story writers and filmmakers tackle issues of national identity, and how this corresponds with or counters international perspectives.
