Exploration of the Arts

Description of Course:

This course introduces students to the physical and intellectual demands required of the performer, musician, and visual artist. Students are required to attend performances, visit a museum/gallery, and learn directly from faculty/guest artist lecturers. Students will be evaluated through a variety of assessment tools including quizzes, class participation, artistic activities, group creative projects and presentations, and art/performance critique papers. We will look at examples of art throughout history, including paintings, sculptures, music videos, TV shows, theatrical performances, and films.
