Description of Course:
Topics in Visual Art: Digital Art (3 semester credit hours) Is an introduction to digital art production. This course will focus on developing an understanding of how digital images are made, and practice in various approaches to using digital imaging software such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Topics covered include digital collage, photo manipulation, digital painting, digital drawing, file formats, and vector vs. raster imaging. Students will explore that foundations of using Photoshop and Illustrator from the perspective of a studio art practice through assignments based on the production of original artworks.
