Description of Course:
Mixed Media (3 semester credit hours) is an investigation of the interaction and combination of several traditional visual media using techniques derived from 2D and 3D dimensional studio arts. Topics covered include mixed media collage using both traditional and digital processes, assemblage and sculptural approaches to mixed media, new media art practices, and more. Students are encouraged to work in their area of expertise while challenging themselves to combine unique media as a response to assignment prompts. May be repeated for credit (6 semester credit hours maximum).
