Medical Spanish

Description of Course:

Medical Spanish is an advanced course for developing communication skills in Spanish for medical/health purposes. This specialized course will benefit students in their pursuit of a career in the health professions in USA, where nowadays health care professionals find themselves involved with patients who come from different parts of Latin America.
The main purpose of this course is to develop and reinforce students’ writing and oral skills in Spanish for medical/health purposes. By the end of the course, students will be qualified to take SPAN 3365 or any other 3000 level courses.

All materials will be distributed via eLearning.

Course Requirements/Evaluation Criteria:

Students must have successfully completed SPAN 2312. Those who do not have credit in Spanish to transfer MUST take the UT Dallas Spanish Placement Test and obtain a score of 81-100 before they can enroll in SPAN 3330.
