Description of Course:

This studio course centers on the idea of the internet as an environment for creative endeavor. We will take a critical look at the evolving structures of the internet itself and how that informs recent work in networked art. We will experiment with ways of incorporating the network into students existing work and explore various emerging media platforms. The course will integrate new media video, sound, the mobile experience, and other network enabled spaces. Students will be assigned readings, develop work individually and collaboratively in class, and participate in regular discussions, brainstorming sessions, and critiques.

Required Texts:

Various online readings will be assigned as the course progresses.
