Description of Course:
Mixed Media is an investigation of the interaction and combination of several traditional visual media using techniques derived from 2D and 3D studio arts.
This course will explore the intersections and collisions between various media in the creation of art work in a variety of disciplines including Collage, Drawing, Paint, Sculpture, and New Media. Through both guided and independent research, students will be introduced to historical and contemporary mixed-media artists in order to provide context and historical precedence to assigned projects which approach the topic from various perspectives.
