THIS COURSE IS AVAILABLE TO DOCTORAL STUDENTS ONLY.
Teaching First-Year Writing (HUSL 7383) is required for teaching assistants who teach RHET 1302 at UTD. The course will address several concerns directly related to the practice of teaching as well as explore the, often times competing, philosophies and theories that inform pedagogical practices in composition and rhetoric. By the end of the semester, students should be able to apply concepts from this course to their teaching practices as well as articulate their own philosophies of teaching first-year writing.
Graduate students intending to enroll in the course should be instructors of Rhet 1302 during the fall 2015 semester.
