Fall 2015 - Undergraduate Course Descriptions
Description of Course:
This class explores the connections between religion, philosophy, and the arts. We will examine the culture and values of past societies to determine how they were influenced by religion. We will further investigate how religions have affected the rights of the individual throughout human history across time and across the world. In the last section of the class students will apply the knowledge they have acquired in the course to propose new ways in which the various branches of the humanities can be used to heighten awareness of, and promote, the global struggle for human rights.
