Spanish Conversation & Community

Description of Course:

SPAN 4302 Spanish Conversation and Community (3 semester credit hours) This advanced Spanish course focuses on the acquisition and practice of Spanish by bringing students in contact with native Spanish speakers. Field work away from the classroom is required.

Course Requirements/Evaluation Criteria:

SPAN 3365, or 4301, or sufficient score on the placement examination, or department/instructor consent required.

The requirement may also be met by CLEP or AP. All other students MUST take the assessment exam found here: http://www.utdallas.edu/ah/students/language_placement.html.

Students must provide their score to advisers to enroll and bring them the first day of class.

*You need not take the exam if prior courses and/or credit by exam scores satisfy SPAN course prerequisites (this includes credit through courses at UT Dallas, transfer credit, and AP or CLEP credit).
