Course Title
Creating Short Fictions

Description of Course:

This is a short fiction workshop, designed to make you a better reader and writer of fiction. Students will produce and evaluate each other’s original stories with an eye toward publication. Literary journals, agents, and publishing in general will be discussed. Students should be prepared to write 2 original short stories during the term and to read and discuss assigned reading.

Course Requirements/Evaluation Criteria:

Graduate Standing. Students will benefit from having had at least one previous course in creative writing. Students must have graduate-level writing ability in the English language.
